Ha ha! I think that kind of thing happens more often than we think (identical cars that can both be opened by the same key).

On the other hand, they don't even have to be identical. When I was a teenager, I had a friend with a Kawasaki motorcycle. I used to "borrow" it sometimes without asking because the key to my Datsun B210 fit it perfectly. (Ok, I had to jiggle it a bit...)

That's it. I'm going out now to try the car keys I have into every car I see. I'm getting me some cheap wheels!

I'm sorry i have to disappoint you. My bleeper didn't work on that car (I tried to lock it afterwards). The owner just left it open. No cheap wheels for you, vieux bandit. I haven't tried my keys on any other car. If the keys are the same that would be really nice. Especially if it's the same brand and colour, because then the neighbours don't notice it. And if the police doesn't check the vehicle code, you can just use your old plates. Mmm, a plan. But first I have to go to the garage this afternoon, because the engine is threatening to blow up again.

(There are also devices on the market that recieve the code send out by bleepers, and are capable to replicate that. You still need to know how to start a car without a key though... No, I don't have a URL.)
