Yay! My MonkeyFilter T-shirt arrived.

Poupoune has to stay another day in the veterenairy hospital because she still was vomitting so we’re going to visit her in the evening. She still has an IV and her paw is covered in a pink bandage that fits remarkably well with her tongue colour and Alison’s outfit.
She is really, really mad when we leave her again after one hour. Oh, how I wish I spoke Dog.

This is Poupoune empty dog basket, because last Friday we had to bring her to the veterinary hospital because I had poisoned her. By accident, but nevertheless.
Thursday she had three teeth pulled by the vet because they had too much decay. That evening she was in much pain so I gave her one of my painkillers (as you might well know I have chronic problems with my teeth and carry painkillers just in case, although I tend to only take them when it really gets bad). Wrong. Poupoune is a very small dog and the amount used for humans is about 12 times over the dose for a dog. So she started to be very drowsy and last night Alison went with her in a taxi (because I couldn’t drive anymore because I had already taken my drugs) to a 24 hour veterinary clinic at the other side of Montréal. They gave Poupoune some medicine to protect the stomach lining to ulcers and send them home. But Friday night she began to vomit and since there was blood in the vomit we went to the clinic again, this time by car.
They thought it was not looking good and held her so they could put Poupoune on a intravenous drip.
I was supposed to pick her up yesterday, but she started to vomit again and they held her another night. But this morning they still didn’t want to release her, because she still couldn’t keep her food down. Tonight we’re going to visit her. Hopefully she’ll be back tomorrow.

All snow is gone now and we are in the season that is referred to as ’spring’. Everything is brown and it takes a month or so before nature will finally colour green. But then it goes very rapidly.
In the meantime we enjoy the beautiful weather as long as it lasts and make a nice long walk on this Friday, when both of us took a day off.

The cabinet is completely painted (by the client) and is almost finished. Only some knobs are missing because they are backordered at the hardware supply store. I’m happy with the result and so is the client.

Back to the client to hang the just made doors and drawers. Fitting them always takes more time than estimated. I’m too much a perfectionist. This cabinet also has special doors that fold inside the cabinet so you can pull out the television. Complicated to fit well, but it turned out beautifully.

Even though all snow is melted in the city, in the hills of Morin Heights there is still a lot of it on the ground. We had to stay on this road, that was pressed down by snowmobiles, otherwise we would sink into the snow upon our knees.
